Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to use of the Janitorial Essentials website and orders placed with Janitorial Essentials Ltd. They do not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Products and website information

We aim to keep product descriptions, images, availability and pricing accurate. Packaging, specifications and appearance may change. Where a material error is identified before an order is accepted, we may contact you to correct the order or offer cancellation.

Prices, VAT and payment

Applicable prices, delivery charges and taxes are shown through the website and checkout. Delivery charges quoted on our Shipping & Delivery page are exclusive of VAT, and VAT is added at checkout. For consumer orders, the total amount payable, including applicable taxes and delivery charges, will be shown before the order is placed. Available payment methods are shown at checkout.

Placing an order

Submitting an order is an offer to buy the selected goods. We will provide an order confirmation electronically. Acceptance and fulfilment remain subject to payment, stock availability and any reasonable fraud or order checks. If we cannot supply an item, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate refund for any amount paid for that item.

Delivery

Our normal delivery timeframe is 2 working days. Standard delivery is £9.99 + VAT to England and Wales, £17.99 + VAT to Scotland and £20.99 + VAT to Northern Ireland. Delivery times are estimates and may vary where an order, destination or carrier requires additional time. See our Shipping & Delivery page for current information.

Consumer cancellation rights

If you buy as a consumer online, you normally have 14 days after receiving the goods to tell us that you wish to cancel, followed by a further 14 days to return them. Statutory exclusions apply, including to certain sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed. Details are set out in our Returns & Refunds policy.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

Contact us promptly with your order details if goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described. Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.

Business customers

Consumer cancellation rights do not apply to purchases made wholly for business purposes. Returns of correctly supplied business orders are subject to our agreement unless separate terms have been agreed. Where we agree customer-specific trade pricing, credit terms or other account arrangements, those agreed terms apply in addition to these website terms and take priority where they expressly differ.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory rights relating to goods. Any other limitations are subject to applicable law.

Changes and availability

We may update website content and these terms from time to time. Changes do not retrospectively alter an order already accepted unless required by law or agreed with you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law are not affected.
